A DAY AS A WINE PRODUCER FAMILY
Bring your family, where together you'll spend a day that will surely be unforgettable! Start the day in the countryside, where in addition to being able to breathe the fresh air of Alentejo, you will have the responsibility of helping the local workers in the harvest. The younger ones can help, or simply run in open fields and eat fruits directly from the trees. After the "bucha" (picnic in the middle of the day), where you will have the opportunity to talk with local workers and learn the purest stories about the Alentejo, it will be time for a visit to the vineyards and also some free time to explore the fields by your own. At lunch, there will be a 3-course tasting of typical food in the Restaurant País das Uvas, and later a guided tour of Cella Vinaria Antiqua where you will learn all about the world's oldest handcrafted wine production method. In the last phase of the day it is time to put hands (and feet) to the work! Here you will do the destemming and crushing of the grapes using a manual mill and later try a bit of grape stomping with your own feet. The day ends with a tasting of 2 wines for the adults, and freshly squeezed grape juice for the youngest. See the video below for a better perception of this memorable day!
